Sept. 25, 2019 - Mania Hits Downtown Marshall This Saturday - Two days after Luke Bryan performs at the Statz farm, the spirit of country music will continue at Marshall’s Main Street Mania. The annual event, sponsored by the Marshall Area Business Association (MABA) has ‘Gone Country Again’ and continues to bring back some of the most popular activities Saturday when a portion of Main Street will be closed down for the annual fall festivities.

Aug. 21, 2019 - Solar Energy Options Proposed For VIllage - ​Village officials are continuing to look at all options in providing renewable energy to its residents. Jake Griggs, an energy consultant with Bluestem Energy Solutions, based out of Omaha, Nebraska, provided a proposal at the Aug. 13 village board meeting.

Oct. 26, 2018 - Campground Exceeds Expectations - About a year ago, Marshall’s Whistle Stop Campground was a pile of dirt.

Under the direction of Bud Styer & Associates, LLC, the campground opened in May and just completed its first season. The campground took in $237,590.97 in revenue this season which exceeded the village officials’ projected revenue of $149,000. Village Administrator Adam Ruechel said that the current year’s expenses were $229,000.

June 22, 2018 - New playground equipment installed at Marshall Fireman's Park - Community members, along with city employees, EMS staff and volunteer firefighters, assisted in constructing new equipment for children to play on in the park on June 5 and 6. Nov. 9, 2017 - Badger Pub Opens on Main Street - Owned by Shaw Fischer and Kyle Broon and managed by Cameron Schenck, the pub, located on 137 E. Main St., opened earlier this month with a full menu of food and drinks.
Sept. 22, 2017 - Fox Bar & Brill Opens in Marshall - What owners Todd and Tim Kluever planned was to have a soft grand opening at Marshall’s newest establishment at 118 E. Main St. for his employees and their families on Sept. 13. When people saw cars in front of the bar, people just started going in.
